Success Principles

Updated 26 April 2025

When it comes to creating real success, having a big dream is only part of the journey – consistent, focused action is where the magic truly happens.

That’s why I love sharing Success Principle #23: Practice the Rule of 5 – because it’s a simple, yet incredibly powerful strategy for building unstoppable momentum toward your goals.

The Rule of Five is based on a beautiful idea: 👉 If you do five focused and intentional things each day that move you closer to your goal, you will make significant progress over time.

These actions don’t have to be huge or overwhelming. They just need to be consistent, purposeful, and aligned with what you truly want to achieve.

By practicing the Rule of Five daily, you’ll create positive habits, build confidence, and generate that wonderful energy we call momentum – the very thing that carries you through the hard days and accelerates your results.

If you do 5 specific things per day
which are in alignment with your goal,
the Rule of 5 is a Powerful Strategy,
that helps you stay Focused and Intentional
on your Goal Achieving activities!

How to Apply the Rule of Five

Let’s make it practical. Here’s one powerful way to apply the Rule of Five – especially if you’re building a business, growing your network, or expanding your influence:

1. Join Five Facebook Groups Related to Your Goal

Pick groups that match your interests, passions, or business dreams.

For example, if you want to start a business, join groups for entrepreneurs, marketing professionals, or niche communities in your field.

This will connect you with like-minded individuals who can offer support, ideas, and encouragement.

2. Befriend Five New People

But don’t just send friend requests!

Engage authentically.

Send a private message introducing yourself, showing genuine interest in their work, ideas, or journey. Building real relationships is far more powerful than simply collecting contacts.

3. Comment on Five Posts Daily

Pick five posts inside the groups you joined and leave thoughtful, valuable comments.

When you consistently show up, add to conversations, and uplift others, you naturally build credibility and visibility within the community.

4. Create Your Own Facebook Post

Every day, share something related to your journey – your progress, your lessons, your challenges, or a powerful insight.

By sharing your voice, you hold yourself accountable and inspire others who are walking a similar path.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to share – authenticity is magnetic.

Why the Rule of Five Works

The Rule of Five works because it turns overwhelming goals into bite-sized daily action steps. You’re no longer waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect plan – you’re building success, one focused action at a time.

It’s about:

  • Being consistent rather than perfect.
  • Putting in the time, even when it feels awkward or uncomfortable.
  • Practicing the specific skills and habits that matter most.
  • Going through the awkward stage until it becomes second nature.

Remember: pain is only temporary… the benefits last forever. Every step you take – even the small ones – is a deposit into your future success.

Your Action Step For the Next 7 Days

  • Choose one major goal you’re committed to.
  • Write down five small, focused actions you can take every day to move toward that goal.
  • Start today – and commit to it for the next 7 days.

You’ll be amazed at the momentum you create!

Success isn’t reserved for the “lucky” or the “chosen” ones – it’s reserved for those who are willing to practice consistency, show up daily, and pay the price through small, intentional actions.

If you’re willing to do the work, even imperfectly, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.

So start today. Embrace the Rule of Five.
You’re building something extraordinary – one powerful step at a time! 🚀
