Fall In Love With You

Personal Development

Self-image is the mental picture that we all hold in our mind, consciously or subconsciously.

Generally our self-image is quite resistant to change, that depicts not only details that are potentially available to objective investigation by others, like height, weight, hair color, etc., but also items that have we have learned by persons about ourselves, either from personal experiences or by internalizing the judgments of others.

To change your self-image that you hold of yourself today has to do with personal development at its best, and it doesn’t mean that we are to erase what we believe about ourselves in present moment, but to build a new picture in our mind about who we want to became. And then build that new picture so strong that we make the old image of ourselves obsolete.

Whether you are aware of it or not, you are always using self-talk, positive or negative...

Start paying attention to what you think,
what you say, and how you speak…

Most of the time you don’t notice what sneaks in!
And I am guilty of this as well, however,
being more conscious about this,
helps me improve my way πŸ™‚

Here are some suggestions on how you can change your self-talk:

πŸ’ “I can’t do it” 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ “I’m still learning”
πŸ’ “Nobody likes it” 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ “It’s not everyone’s cup of tea”
πŸ’ “Never” 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ “Not right now”
πŸ’ “I wish my life was better” 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ “I’m grateful for my life”
πŸ’ “I don’t have time” 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ “It’s not my priority”

What phrase of self-talk can you replace with something more uplifting and positive?

Start writing that list, burn the list of negative self-talk and keep reading the positive self-talk statement instead until your subconscious mind are in alignment with what you want to achieve.

Collect Life Experiences

Β

Β

Jim Rohn, an excellent ambassador for
personal development, once said:

β€œLife is not just the passing of time.
Life is the collection of experiences
and their intensity.”

I’ll for sure be exploring new areas together with my 4-legged friend and take in as much value from it as possible 🌞🐾

What kind of experiences can you collect this weekend so your life is not just passing by?

Fail forward faster…

Β

Failure is not the same as defeat until you give up!

“In every failure is the seed of success…
Our failures are stepping stones in the mechanics
of creation, bringing us even closer to our goals.
In reality, there is no such thing as failure.
What we call failure is just a mechanism through
which we can learn to do things right.”

~Deepak Chopra

If you have a burning desire for something bigger than yourself, something better for the future, and take inspired actions towards your goals, you are guaranteed to have obstacles and setbacks!

Know that any “failure” you encounter is actually an opportunity for you to reset your inner GPS so you can find the way in the right direction πŸ˜€

And understand this; the journey towards success will never be without failures on the way there…

So, you might as well realize that failure is an important part of the learning process.

Successful people know this and they understand that failure is just a way we all learn. They know that moving toward a goal is an trial and error process, when mistakes are done they listen to feedback and course correct accordingly.

With the right mindset and attitude regarding “failure” we develop a knowledge base, skill sets, and self-confidence through our lifetime, that better helps us move through any obstacles on our journey toward success.

So, fail forward faster…

Feel the Fear & Do It Anyway!

I’ve got a terrible fear of hights…
But, I wanted to visit the Pulpit Rock last year,
which towers 604 metres above
the Lysefjord, Norway!

I literally felt like I could conquer it all standing
just a few meters from the edge after a
20 minute (or so) attempt to get there…
And all though, back on the “safe ground”,
my body and mind just shut down in shivers
and tears, and I’ll admit, almost hysterical,
I DID survive!!!

Millions of years ago, fear was our body’s signal system that alerted us to possible dangers in our environment.

However, in today’s world, we’ve evolved to a stage where almost all of our fears are self-created in our minds and often stops us from doing important and necessary tasks, and adventure into the unknown.

Most of our threats today are not at all life-threatening as it was millions of years ago.

In fact, FEAR can easily be summarized as the following:

Fantasized
Experiences
Appearing
Real

We have all faced fear, but somehow we managed to push through…

Think back and remember a time when YOU triumphed in the face of fear… There was a rush of adrenalin and the thrill of having survived a risk, and today you are so familiar with this situation, you don’t think of it as a risk anymore…

You did it once, so you can do it again! Stop being so fearful, you have nothing to gain from playing it safe.

Master the skills you need to learn, face and move through your fears, and then take on even bigger challenges.

That’s what successful people do – all the time!

Have Faith That You Can!

“To have faith is to trust yourself to the water.
When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water,
because if you do you will sink and drown.
Instead you relax, and float.”

~Alan Watts

I’ve learned that doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will!

It took me a while to understand this, and it wasn’t until I realized that faith comes from the unwavering belief in yourself and your purpose.

Think of it this way…

You are climbing a mountain you’ve never been on before, and you don’t have the map to show you the path… But you trust that there will be signs on your way that will show you the path for the next 100 meters or so…

You are focused on the end goal – to reach that mountain top – instead of worrying about what might be on your way there…

Because you have faith in yourself, you know you’ll find a way around any obstacle on your way!Β If you don’t have faith you won’t reach that top, and you know that to be true as well.

So, just lean into whatever you want to achieve, and take that first inspired step on your way there. Even if you don’t know how-to, know you are ready!

If you are to doubt anything, simply doubt your doubt πŸ™‚

Perception Is Everything!

“We are all in the gutter,
but some of us
are looking at the stars.”

~Oscar Wilde

Do you know how many different ways there are to look at how to live your life?

Think about it…

If you don’t like your life as it is today, maybe it is time to change the way you are living?

Be honest with yourself… Do you merely exist or do you fully live the way you want to?

I don’t care what you think other people think about you, what is important is… are you 100% aware of how you are living and is that what you really want?

When Life Knocks You Down GET UP!

“Life challenges are gifts to you!
You may feel paralyzed for a moment, however,
these gifts will help you grow stronger
and make your life wonderful meaningful.
A good learner understand this.”

~Eva Hyllestad

Life is not for amateurs, and sometimes life can be hard!

Things happen beyond our control, people act in manners that can make a deep impact on our emotions, and our own behavior might not be at the standard we set for ourselves…

But, whenever life knocks you down – for whatever reason – GET UP and get going!Β You have the power of choice, you see… You can fight or flight!Β I believe you are a champion because you are definitely not an amateur!

Now you decide what’s best for you πŸ˜‰

Growth Happens When Challenged

“What you get by achieving your goals
is not as important as what you become
by achieving your goals.”

~Henry David Thoreau

When you experience stormy waters, and you can’t see the lighthouse guiding you safely to the harbor, be assured and have faith, you WILL find a way.

You see, if you give up now when everything seems hopeless, your boat will sink and it will be even harder to swim to shore…

So, do what you can with what you’ve got, don’t panic, don’t haste, but take a step back and trust your inner guts, that this will also pass and you will discover you found a strength within you that nobody can take away from you.

Through your courageous actions, no matter how hard the wind is blowing, you will come out on the other end!

Believe in the poem by William Ernest Henley, where he said: “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”

You’ve got this!

I choose grateful, joyous, and loving thoughts

“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness.
It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.”

~Amy Collette

Today, and every day, is a day of divine fulfillment and limitless possibilities for good.

Like you, I am living in a Spiritual Universe, formed from loving thought, and my thoughts are creative and are creating my world.

My faith and belief in the good are growing and expanding daily.

I choose a life of divine fulfillment and limitless possibilities for good, and I happily participate as I allow my creative imagination to vision only the best.

I know there is no need to worry or rush as the Universe has perfect timing and knows where to find me.

Therefore, I choose grateful, joyous, and loving thoughts as all is well in me and in my world.

The Magic Word

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing:
the last of human freedoms
– to choose one’s attitude in
any given set of circumstances,
to choose one’s own way.”

~Viktor Frankl

Your thoughts and feelings can take you just about anywhere…

You have a choice:
– lift yourself up or take yourself down…
– manifest what you want or manifest what you don’t want
– expect good or expect bad

Vibrate the energy you want to attract, be the person you want to be, do as the person you want to be, and see yourself having what you want to have!

Understand that The Magic Word is ATTITUDE – it is your attitude towards life, that will determine life’s attitude towards you πŸ˜‰

Be Playful!

“The very essence of playfulness is an openness
to anything that may happen, the feeling
that whatever happens, it’s okay…
you’re either free to play, or you’re not.”

~John Cleese

As we grow up, many of us don’t let our inner child surface anymore…

And if we do, it’s only partly and in an environment that we feel safe and thinks we won’t be judged.

I’m one of them, then again, one of the most joyful moments in my life is when I didn’t even think, I just did and had fun.

I sometimes wonder, who told us that we should only do so and so, and not so…

So, learn to be more playful, have more fun enjoy, regardless of what others might think about you. This is your life, and you are the one to set your own rules for living fully.

And yes, I’ll take my own advice on this because life is too short!

Who knows, I might make someone else’s day as well. Now, that would be an added bonus don’t you think?

Self Love

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself
to get anything done in this world.!

~Lucille Ball

Self Love Is The Best Love

πŸ›‘ It’s not about you being egoistic…
πŸ›‘ It’s not about you not caring for others…
πŸ›‘ It’s not about you escaping reality…

πŸ€ It IS about you honoring your own value…
πŸ€ It IS about taking time-out just for yourself, to do the things you want to do that make you happy and joyful…
πŸ€ It IS about you nourishing your relationship with yourself, so you can care for and love others more…
πŸ€ It IS about you having a healthy acknowledgment that self-love and self-care are what recharges your batteries so you can give more and serve the world better…

So, today, take the time and do something good for yourself without including others… And remember to tell yourself: I love you!

Unchain Your None Beneficial Habits!

“Feeling sorry for yourself,
and your present condition,
is not only a waste of energy but
the worst habit you could possibly have.”

~Dale Carnegie

It takes determination and commitment to achieve anything significant in life.

In fact, you are unstoppable when you show a serious commitment to achieving your goals.

However, we humans are habitual creatures, and some of our habits have the ability to hinder commitment in serious ways.

The trick is to recognize the habits that don’t serve us well, and then we have to be willing to let those habits go.

We have to unchain ourselves from those none beneficial habits, but… as you probably already know, that’s not always an easy task, and you’ll fight an almost impossible task if you try to change them all in one go.

Now, if you start with one, and find a new positive habit that can replace that none beneficial habit and make it obsolete, you are on your way to a winning formula of creating NEW habits that will serve you well for the rest of your life!

Love What You Do

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it, keep looking. Don’t settle.”
~Steve Jobs

So many people go through life working at a dead-end job they only get a paycheck from. There is no room for growth or responsibility, advancement, and fulfillment.

Once upon a time, they decided to take on this career because it was expected of them, or they thought that it was what they were supposed to do, or they couldn’t find anything else…

They are stressed out, often work long hours and paycheck to paycheck, and at the end of the day, they don’t really have much to show for…

Now… Marc Anthony once said: “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

What does that mean?

It means you love the work you are doing every day.

Sometimes doing what you love means doing things you don’t love so much, and that’s not a bad thing.

Because in the end, those things you don’t love so much makes you stronger and brings you closer to your goals in life, and you are in alignment with your purpose.

This ultimately leads to happiness and fulfilment and a fully lived life.

Make Room For The New

“Sometimes we need to let go of the things
in our lives to make room for better things.
Stress less and live more.
Don’t waste your energy,
when you have the choice to be happy.”

~Brian Tracy

Sometimes in life, we don’t always get what we want.

Now, by changing the mindset to thinking about what you can achieve and receive in life, things start to shift…

You start to realize that all that you have, whether it be material stuff or a relationship with people, might have to shift…

For you to move forward, you sometimes have to burn some bridges, like clear out the clutter to make room for what you really want.

This can also include relationships… It can be hard to – real tough – to say goodbye to someone, wishing them well on their journey in life, and then cut them out of your life for good.

Michelle Ventor once said: “People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you’ll know exactly what to do.”

You have to trust your intuition and make a decision for your own life… You have to decide what’s good for you, what you are willing to keep in your life, and what you are willing to let go of.

You see, by taking the time to clear out what no longer serves you makes room for the new that you desire πŸ™‚

You Are Worthy!

“You’re worthy of love and respect.
You are beautiful, gifted, and intelligent.
Don’t let the storm make you forget it.”

~Russel T. Davies

No matter what your past, no matter what you think of yourself today, no matter what others think of you, YOU are worthy of all the abundance you desire!

You have something deep within you that nobody else has and that makes you UNIQUE and wonderful!

What the surface provides of evidence is simply the tip of the iceberg. The real value of you is there for you to explore and develop even more.

Trust in all good, keep your head high, and believe that what you seek will appear the day you are truly ready to receive.

You are WORTHY, never let anyone – not even yourself – tell you otherwise πŸ™‚

Live In The Now!

“Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal.
Live this day as if it were your last.
The past is over and gone.
The future is not guaranteed.”

~Wayne Dyer

All that matters is right at this moment. What happened before doesn’t really matter, it happened, now it’s gone. What will happen in the future we have yet to discover, but we can not LIVE there, because we are not there yet.

What we CAN do is to learn from the past and make corrections today, so we can change our path moving towards what we really want and focus on only that.

But we have to be willing to pay the price and the work that is necessary to walk this new path. And that price can feel and look like punishment and hardship, in the beginning, no wonder it’s easy to get the feeling “this doesn’t work…”

Like planting a seed in Sahara and hoping it will grow into an oasis. Here is the thing; to build an oasis in Sahara, you’ll probably need more than one seed and most likely more than just one attempt. However, it has to start with one seed! You’ll have to figure out, through setbacks and failure and wins, what’s working and what is not. And eventually, if you don’t give up, you’ll find yourself in the midst of your own oasis.

And when that happens, you’re faced with a new present moment in time. And you have a choice… Do you stay there, settling for what you now have, or do you want to expand?

The old cliche: “If I can do it YOU can do it” is so true! You are just as capable as any other person on this planet. You just have to decide that you’ll do whatever it takes to build YOUR oasis!

Never Settle!

All the money in the world can’t bring you any true and genuine happiness unless you learn to become grateful for what you have…

And when I say grateful for what you have, I mean ALL that you have…

Your body, your senses, your mental faculties, your friends and family, your belongings, a roof over your head, clean water, air, nature around you, electricity, internet, your past and current struggles and wins that have led you to where you are now…

All that has been, did put you where you are right now! And that is a good thing. Because now you can decide if you are content with what you have, or if you want something more…

And don’t feel bad by wanting more… You should still be grateful for what you have while taking the necessary action that will move you toward whatever you want in your life.

Never settle if you dream of a life better than you have right now, because anything can be improved πŸ˜‰
